Special Care Dentistry
Special Care Dentistry is the branch of dentistry that provides oral care services for people with physical, medical, developmental, or cognitive conditions which limit their ability to receive routine dental care.
How is a special care dentistry practice different from a general dentistry practice?
Both Drs. Tiffany and Trisha Vo believe that all special care patients deserve a dental home that understands and adapts to their needs. They are committed to getting to know each patient in order to customize their experience and their treatment plans. Our practice is optimized with special care patients in mind, and our providers and team are trained to provide the best care to all patients, regardless of their particular needs.
The Elements Difference
Each of our three operatories has a door so that your entire dental treatment can be private. Our spacious surgical suite can accommodate our patients who are wheelchair or gurney-bound.
We are currently one of a few dental providers in Orange County to offer the Wallaby therapeutic weighted blanket to our patients! Whether you have dentophobia or just want to have a comfortable experience, the Wallaby blanket can enhance your appointment. This is also a more gentle alternative to a papoose board. We are proud to be part of the Wallaby Provider Network as experts in Autism and Dementia Dentistry.
For our patients that are light-sensitive, we also have dimmable lights in each room to make their experience more comfortable.
Our office also provides nitrous oxide inhalation (laughing gas) for treatment appointments, if needed. We also work with medical and dental anesthesiologists for patients that cannot tolerate treatment without general anesthesia, as well as patients with severe dental anxiety and/or extensive treatment needs. For more information on our sedation services, contact our office or book a consultation with one of our doctors.
